Personal Manifesto (2/1/2024)
My name is Joe Schoen, and I am an entertainer. Not in the sense of a performer on a stage, but rather the one behind the curtain responsible for what the performer cannot do. I am a creator, a storyteller. I create whatever the narrative calls for. Whether it’s the chirps and beeps of a mechanical companion, or a roar that shatters the heavens.
I’ve lived in the New York/New Jersey area my whole life, and I am very fortunate to have grown up in one of the largest media production hubs in the world with hundreds of studios large and small all with stories to tell. My goal is to find my place amongst them and bring their stories to life. I plan on reaching this goal by developing my portfolio with works showcasing what I can do with the final result of my senior project being one of them.
I am a firm believer that everyone has a story to tell and deserves to tell it, and I hope to make a name for myself by helping people bring their stories to life.
